About Us

Alpha Tau Omega – Epsilon Delta is a lifelong brotherhood founded on shared values, personal responsibility, and the belief that fraternity should prepare men for meaningful lives beyond college. Established at North Dakota State University, the Epsilon Delta Chapter has built a reputation rooted in integrity, leadership, and strong relationships that extend well past graduation. Our chapter is defined not only by its history, but by its continued commitment to growth, accountability, and building men who contribute positively to their professions, families, and communities.

Our Purpose

The purpose of Alpha Tau Omega is to develop men of character through intentional brotherhood, leadership opportunities, and a culture of mutual respect. Membership is not simply about participation during college years—it is about learning how to lead with integrity, communicate effectively, and uphold shared values in real-world situations. Through academic accountability, leadership development, and structured support, the chapter creates an environment where members are challenged to grow personally and professionally while supporting one another along the way.

A Living Legacy

The Epsilon Delta Chapter honors its traditions while continuously adapting to remain strong, relevant, and sustainable. Our legacy is not frozen in the past; it is actively shaped by each generation of members and alumni. Thoughtful governance, engaged alumni oversight, and responsible planning ensure that the chapter remains stable and well-positioned for the future. By respecting our history while embracing improvement and modernization, we preserve what matters most while building a stronger foundation for those who follow.

Brotherhood for Life

Brotherhood in Alpha Tau Omega does not end at graduation—it evolves. Alumni remain a critical part of the chapter’s identity and success, serving as mentors, advisors, volunteers, donors, and leaders. Through ongoing communication, events, and opportunities for involvement, we intentionally maintain connections that span decades. These lifelong relationships strengthen the chapter, provide guidance to undergraduate members, and reinforce the idea that Alpha Tau Omega is a fraternity for life, not just four years.

Leadership & Accountability

High standards are central to who we are. The chapter emphasizes accountability in conduct, academics, and operations, supported by clear governance structures and transparent decision-making. Leadership roles within the chapter are designed to prepare members for responsibilities beyond college, teaching skills such as teamwork, financial oversight, communication, and ethical leadership. Alumni involvement further reinforces these standards, ensuring continuity, stability, and responsible stewardship of the chapter’s resources and facilities

Community & Service

Alpha Tau Omega believes strongly in contributing beyond itself. Members are encouraged to engage with the university, participate in service initiatives, and support philanthropic efforts that benefit the broader community. By giving back through service and leadership, the chapter reinforces the importance of responsibility, humility, and impact. These experiences help members understand that true success includes contributing time and effort to causes larger than themselves.

Looking Forward

Today, Alpha Tau Omega – Epsilon Delta is focused on building a strong future grounded in brotherhood, leadership, and long-term sustainability. With active members and engaged alumni working together, the chapter continues to strengthen its culture, improve its operations, and uphold its values. Our mission remains constant: to develop men of character, to lead with integrity, and to build lifelong bonds that endure long after college.
